Senior Manager, Incentive Compensation

The US Field Excellence team provides guidance and support to the sales organization by optimizing the field experience through Field Effectiveness, Incentive Compensation, Field Operations, and Field Systems and Capabilities Transformation.

In this vital role as the Senior Manager, Incentive Compensation, you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the incentive plans and programs 2 to 3 brands across 2 to 3 sales forces. This individual is responsible for aligning the sales incentive compensation strategy with the brand and sales objectives, ensuring fair and motivating rewards for the sales team, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of the incentive plans.
Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL office. You will work on-site 2 to 3 days a week.
This position reports to the Director, Incentive Compensation and be responsible for the following (focused on a particular business unit):
Primary point of contact for sales leaders and brand leaders to engage in the incentive compensation plan and contest design deliverables
Developing the incentive compensation design strategy in collaboration with sales and brand leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams in forecasting, brand analytics, field effectiveness, HR and finance
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of the incentive compensation plans, using data analysis, feedback, and audits, and making adjustments as needed
Administration and operations of IC plans, contests, annual awards, payout calculations and validation, field inquiries, and IC reporting
Monitor industry trends and marketplace developments to stay ahead of the competition and adapt capabilities to changing business needs

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience
OrMasters degree and 4 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience
OrBachelors degree and 6 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience
OrAssociate degree and 10 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience
OrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing incentive compensation plans (with 5+ total years of field or sales operations experience) within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably in a large and complex organization
Strong knowledge of and experience working with pharmaceutical or biotechnology market data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.) including Specialty Pharmacy, IQVIA and Symphony Health data
Strategic Thought Partnership: Applies advanced consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value
Business Acumen: Strategic understanding of sales and marketing with the ability to identify product sales drivers, trends, issues, etc.
Planning and Process Optimization: Assess incentive compensation program processes and operations, identify challenges and/or opportunities, and implement improvements
Project Management: Ability to lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements to field operations processes
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to convey complex data and strategies in a clear and persuasive manner, as well as the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with the sales team, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
