This role will report to the Director of Antibody Screening with accountability for supporting high-throughput antibody discovery efforts, particularly using single B-cell approaches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, with significant experience in supporting end-to-end antibody discovery campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-throughput molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to, PCR, molecular cloning, and plasmid preparation to generate recombinant antibodies.
Support high-throughput antibody sequencing to drive antibody discovery projects.
Operate and maintain liquid-handling robots and other lab automation platforms to facilitate large-scale sequencing and cloning workflows.
Maintain cell lines using aseptic techniques. Perform transfections for high-throughput antibody expression.
Support high-throughput protein purification processes.
Independently troubleshoot and contribute to protocol optimization for enhanced efficiency and increased throughput.
Assist in the development and optimization of automation protocols for improved efficiency in molecular and cellular assays.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical support for various projects requiring automated workflows.
Maintain accurate records of experiments, analyze data, and present results in team meetings. Qualifications:
B.S in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field with 4+ years of experience, or M.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in NGS workflows, cloning techniques, and protein expression and purification methods.
Experience with liquid-handling robots and other automation equipment is required. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in single B-cell antibody discovery workflows with an end goal of identifying novel therapeutic candidates. Strong organizational and time management skills to contribute to multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to document and present experimental results.
Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for NGS data analysis is a plus.
