How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:

The VP of Market Access and Patient Services will lead the strategy and execution of the launch plans to support Intellia's late-stage pipeline of gene editing therapies.

Reporting to the SVP, Commercial you will play a pivotal role in establishing Intellia’s market access and patient services capabilities. In this leadership role, you will partner with cross functional product teams to lead the planning and execution of strategies across Market Access, Value & Strategy, Payer Marketing, Pricing, Reimbursement, Trade & Distribution, Patient Services, Payer Management, Health Policy, and Key Account Strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design a fit for purpose market access and patient services organization to enable broad and timely access to our gene editing therapies.

  • Build, recruit, and nurture a high-performing team of market access and patient services experts.

  • Establish Intellia Therapeutics as a manufacturer credentialed to sell into target markets by negotiating relevant U.S. federal and state pricing agreements.

  • Design an effective channel and distribution strategy for gene-editing products.

  • Oversee HEOR activities and drive strategies to achieve region-specific or country-specific reimbursement.

  • Develop and execute country-specific strategies for securing pricing, coverage, and reimbursement that optimize access and value at the regional or country level.

  • Innovate and create value-driven contracting strategies where appropriate.

  • Design a tailored patient support program to enable broad and timely patient access.

  • Design innovative payer marketing strategies to communicate the value of our gene editing portfolio.

  • Develop pre- and post- approval engagement strategies.

  • Evaluate localized health policy and healthcare reform trends, assessing their implications for Intellia’s portfolio.

  • Collaborate with Commercial teams and New Product Planning teams to define global access critical success factors.

About You:

  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 5 years in market access roles, including leading channel and distribution strategies, government account and payer account teams.

  • Experience working with rare diseases and/or gene therapy products.

  • Strong relationships with payers, PBMs and policy/government affairs communities.

  • Influential leadership skills in building high-performing teams.

  • Evidence illustrating the ability to be different and bold. Must have demonstrated success at bringing novel and successful approaches that bring innovative products to patients.
