We are looking for an SEC Reporting and technical accounting expert to join our company to support this critical function following our IPO. This role will report to the Director, SEC Reporting, and will work across teams in finance, legal, stock administration, and senior management. This individual will be responsible for the preparation of SEC filings including Forms 10-K & 10-Q, preparation and review of technical accounting memos, stock-based compensation accounting, and related financial accounting and audit support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and other SEC filings as required, using Toppan Merrill Bridge software.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial results press releases on Form 8-K and proxy statements.
- Maintain quarterly reporting timetables, checklists, and supporting documentation files, including SOX control support.
- Research technical accounting topics, prepare or review memos documenting conclusions of accounting treatment and work with accounting, external consulting firms and our auditors to finalize treatment.
- Monitor, document, and implement new FASB pronouncements and SEC rules to ensure ongoing compliance and educate key personnel.
- Participate in the accounting close process, including preparing stock-based compensation and other equity-related entries.
- Manage special projects across departments and with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA or equivalent and Big-4 experience required.
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in audit, technical accounting, and SEC reporting
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience with Toppan Merrill Bridge or Workiva, including XBRL tagging, preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in building cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization as well as with external parties such as auditors and external counsel.
- Accounting experience in the preparing stock-based compensation entries and related valuation assumptions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills are required and experience with NetSuite and Morgan Stanley Equity Edge preferred.

This position is located in South San Francisco, CA. At this time we are not considering remote applicants.
The salary range for this position is $205,000 USD to $215,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
