In this vital role you will participate in multiple cross-functional initiatives for Amgen North Carolina (ANC) leading to the implementation and further improvement of related Global and Site Supply Chain systems and processes. The focus of the Supply Chain Manager will be to lead Site Supply Chain initiatives related to End-to-End Supply Chain Business Processes and Systems, as well as activities leading to Site Operational Readiness. This role will lead Site Supply Chain Processes and Systems improvement, harmonization, and change management. The role will liaise with the ANC Business Performance Team in leading Site Supply Chain Risks as part of the ANC Risk Strategy and Business Continuity processes. The Supply Chain Manager will also support capacity planning and forward-looking forecasts and find opportunities to improve productivity. In addition, this role will serve as the Supply Chain Business Lead representing Site Strategic Planning, Procurement, and/or Warehouse Operations, on business improvement or LCM projects. This role will be the point of contact for Master Data Management for the Site collaborating closely with the Global Supply Chain team on material master creation, changes and maintenance.
- Provide oversight of Site Supply Chain projects
- Act as a Project Manager and/or Business Lead for Global Supply Chain projects
- Partner with Site Supply Chain Leadership team to make decisions regarding project resourcing and prioritization using operational key performance indicators
- Lead Continuous improvement initiatives within the Site Supply Chain Team
- Improve productivity and deliver value through continuous improvement and operational excellence efforts
- Assess impact of new requirements, changes, processes, regulations to the Site Supply Chain function
- Interact with cross-functional group and influence a broad spectrum of partners toward achieving business goals
- Serve as a SME for Business Systems and Processes for Site Supply Chain team
- Provide business process guidance to the team related to Master Data
- Provide business process mentorship/training for the team and act as a technical SME for Project Management, Data Analytics, and Master Data
- Identify and analyze sophisticated problems and opportunities to streamline Site supply chain activities and lead projects to drive improvements
- Apply analytical skills to extract, compile and interpret data relevant to evaluate sophisticated situations/problems using multiple sources of information
- Improve and/or build new procedures and processes to drive desired results
- Own Deviation and CAPA records and lead Change Control records for related supply chain processes
- Develop and collate monthly Site Supply Chain metrics and analytics

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED and 10 years of GMP Operations and/or Supply Chain experience OR
- Associate degree and 8 years of GMP Operations and/or Supply Chain experience
- Bachelors degree and 4 years of GMP Operations and/or Supply Chain experience
- Masters degree and 2 years of GMP Operations and/or Supply Chain experience
- Doctorate degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Project Management with associated PM tools (PMP certification is a plus)
- Experience with industry regulations, GMP, compliance and pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology processes
- Supply Chain & Logistics Management and/or engineering educational background
- Ability to complete root cause analysis of problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Project management, cross functional facilitation, communication and presentation skills
- Material Master Data and Production Master Data experience
- Experience with Change Control Management System (e.g., TrackWise)
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Miro, and ability to work easily with new software
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Takes ownership in driving tasks and project deliverables to completion
- Ability to productively navigate a complicated and dynamic environment, with constantly evolving priorities, handling multiple projects, re-prioritizing as required
- Excellent understanding of ERP systems and business processes
- Ability to establish relationships with key partners across multiple functional areas, both onsite and virtually
- Operational Excellence and continuous improvement experience in regulated industry
- Experience working in a global environment, ability to collaborate closely/communicate efficiently at different management levels.
- Abilities to handle complexity and balance multiple priorities, and influence without authority
- Possesses a working understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement-oriented concepts
