In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.  Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

Perform cold storage & general warehousing activities for NNPII with an emphasis on material handling for the core production areas. Ensure quality of product through quantity verification & temperature monitoring.

 

Relationships

Supervisor, Material Support.

 

Essential Functions

  • Timely & accurate issuance, return & transfer of semi-finished & finished product, components, & label control material & production-related materials
  • Material requisitions & staging area replenishment
  • Wrapping of palletized product in preparation for shipment
  • Inventory Control of newly received components/materials to include placing in locations
  • Physical inventory to include cycle counts
  • Look-up & reorder of inventory & plant supplies
  • Daily inspections of the forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, & freezer
  • Maintain up to date training status
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Systems knowledge in Prism
  • Utilization of direct issue, Good Receipt, inventory adjustment & transfer receipts
  • Utilization of SAP & PAS-X for material flow to production

    Physical Requirements

    Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Handles transport of hazardous materials. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid driver’s license.

     

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read, writes legibly, & understands all department documentation required
  • Minimum 1 yr. related experience, preferably in a GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Basic math skills including knowledge of metric system preferred
  • Computer competencies required basic Microsoft knowledge: Outlook, Power point & Word preferred
  • Experience with a computerized inventory system such as SAP a plus preferred
  • Good written & verbal communication skills preferred
  • Training or experience to demonstrate an understanding of the risks inherent to the processing, handling & storage of hazardous materials preferred
  • Ability to operate stand-up & sit-down forklifts preferred
  • Good organizational skills a plus
  • Ability to execute a work plan & adapt to changes in the schedule a plus
