Job Details
Regeneron seeks a highly motivated and passionate analytical specialist to join our Analytical Sciences Binding Development team specializing in early phase binding potency programs. As a subject matter expert and leader in the lab, you will work closely with our Automation and Clinical testing teams to development, optimize, and transfer automated binding potency methods to customer groups.
As an Analytical Development Specialist, a typical day might include the following:
- Execute manual and automated investigation binding potency assays
- Create automated assay modules and perform instrument troubleshooting activities
- Implement automated methods to downstream customer testing groups.
- Secure bulk assay material from internal groups and external vendors for development and clinical testing
- Provide oversight and scientific guidance within the laboratory and to direct team members.
- Evaluate/interrupt data and author development reports.
- Establish, develop, and/or optimize analytical methodology for binding assay potency
- Culture and maintain mammalian cell lines when needed
- Tabulate results and write summary reports of assay development.
- Present findings at group and interdepartmental meetings.
- Produce and maintain accurate records.
- Record review of materials, consumables, and assay execution documentation.
This role might be for you if you:
- Have experience with Venus Software for programming and troubleshooting assays on liquid handlers
- Have experience performing and troubleshooting ELISA style binding potency assays on a liquid handler
- Have experience with generating and reviewing GMP records in a development environment
- Have experience with mammalian cell culture
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you have the innate ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize and execute them independently, while excelling at keeping all impacted parties well advised.
- Can excel in a dynamic day-to-day and provide guidance technical leadership within the team.
- Can take on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges and learning quickly.
- Are able to work in a team environment but can also take ownership of large technical reports and projects.
- Develop and drive scientific and/or business-related improvement ideas.
- Able to apply statistical analysis of data to support theories.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint,etc) Venus, and Softmax softwares.
- Understand working with statistical software such as JMP.
- Enjoy developing novel assays with little initial guidance.
- Have experience with developing and troubleshooting binding assays for testing in a GMP environment.
- Have excellent fine motor skills
To be considered for the Analytical Specialist position you must be willing and able to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. For the various levels you must have the following:
Analytical Specialist: BS/BA, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred
Senior Analytical Specialist I: BS/BA, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred
Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
