Overview

This role will implement day-to-day support across the US Compliance Business Partner team to provide relevant guidance and support to internal functions. This role will also support other Compliance responsibilities including managing Speaker Bureau, continuous improvements projects, driving auditing and monitoring remediation, and support in developing guidance documents and training. The Manager, US Compliance reports to the Senior Director, US Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with US Compliance Business Partners to support cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Patient Services and Medical Affairs to provide guidance, implement compliance initiatives and resolve issues
  • Provide ongoing Compliance guidance and support for the Speakers Bureau program, including but not limited to the review of program materials, oversight of Speaker selection process and monitor Speaker cap
  • Work closely with Compliance Business Partners in the development and delivery of policies and guidance documents aligned with company standards and industry regulations
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of Compliance training (e-learning and live)
  • Support the implementation of mitigation plans and processes to facilitate appropriate follow-up and close-out of compliance issues and/or risks as identified by risk assessment and Monitoring and Auditing team
  • Collaborate with Compliance Operations to support system and/or process enhancements to support business needs and/or regulatory updates
  • Support additional compliance initiatives and projects
  • Foster a proactive approach to compliance that is focused on partnerships, prevention and risk mitigation
  • Raise awareness of the Compliance program and foster accountability for compliance
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset and propose enhancements to the Compliance Program informed by industry trends and best practices
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 8+ years combined pharmaceutical experience is required. 
  • Simultaneously plan, coordinate and supervise various tasks.
  • Able to manage varying and high workload and sets priorities accordingly.
  • Inform and liaise with compliance colleagues in reliable and timely manner in relation to all matters.
  • Detail-oriented, high-energy, and self-sufficient – driving projects to completion independently with the utmost integrity.
  • Produces high quality work with minimal oversight from Manager.
  • Possesses a ‘can-do' attitude and the ability to work collaboratively across internal stakeholders.
  • Handles confidential matters with discretion and judgment.
  • Manages workload and work product to support Manager efficiently and in a solution-oriented manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to interact with all levels of the business.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Additional education/certification within health-care or Compliance related fields is preferred.
  • Direct experience working in Corporate & Healthcare Compliance at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
  • High level of familiarity with broad range of compliance risk areas, in particular relating to Commercial practices of a U.S. business.
  • Understanding of compliance internal control concepts and framework.
  • Maintains understanding of laws and regulations, enforcement actions and evolving best practices relevant to pharmaceutical compliance and proposes updates to Compliance program.
