The Lab Manager, Quality Manager will support the daily activities within the Quality Control Laboratories.
Qualifications
Essentials of the Job
- Manage and participate in material ordering, receipt, and inventory for Quality Control(QC) Departments.
- Manage, execute, and review routine equipment calibrations and maintenance tasks, in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Facilitate the purchasing, receipt, installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors regarding preventative maintenance and repairs and assist in completion of work orders.
- Assist the QC Laboratories as needed with preparation of solutions and buffers as required by method SOPs.
- Participate critically in the Quality and Change Review Boards
- Draft and revise SOP’s, as needed
- Maintain knowledge of current QC processes and suggest areas for improvement
- Maintain strict adherence to GMP documentation practices
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Use judgment, creativity, and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions to problems, as directed by QC management.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in laboratory management
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of laboratory management
- 2 years of experience in a GxP environment

This includes ensuring all Quality Assurance (QA) records and reports, Human Resources (HR) policies, and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) procedures and practices are completed in a timely manner. Any delay or failure to comply with policies, standards and procedures is required to be communicated/escalated to the appropriate responsible parties, such as QA, HR, or EH&S depending on the issue.
