This role is on-site 3 days per week in Sleepy Hollow, NY. A fully remote role is NOT possible for this position. This role cannot be based in Basking Ridge, NJ.

The Director of Market Access Strategy is a critical role on a fast-paced, energetic Market Access team. This team member will be responsible for leading and assisting in development/implementation of market access reimbursement strategies across key segments of our business including: the reimbursement business managers, sales and the payer account team. Primary responsibilities consist of leading and/or assisting in development, implementation and execution of market access initiatives and tactics. Additionally, this individual must maintain a high-level of collaboration and integration with Brand Marketing, Training, Pricing, Trade, Market Research and all field teams (Reimbursement, Sales and Payer ). The position is based out of Sleepy Hollow, New York.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

  • Leads the development of Market Access Reimbursement strategies and manages the execution of tactical plans aligned with Market Access strategies for HCPs and Key Accounts

  • Leads the strategic and the tactical development of various field-based resources to support field facing teams including Reimbursement Business Managers (RBM), Sales and Ophthalmology Key Account Leaders (OKAL) teams

  • Leads the management of key strategic partner relationships to ensure execution of the strategic vision and tactical goals as well as the timely completion of projects within budget

  • Collaborates with cross-functional internal teams (Marketing, Patient Support Services, Insights and Analytics, Pricing, Medical Affairs, HEOR and Training) as well as Payer Team, RBM Team and Sales Field teams to help inform comprehensive market access strategies and aligned messaging Contributes to and/or leads the development of market access launch strategies and tactical plans for potential new indications/products

  • Regularly engages and maintains relationships with KOLs, HCP advisors, Retina CEOs/CFOs, Practice Administrators and other key stakeholders

  • Leads the development of POA meeting Market Access strategies and workshops for the Reimbursement and Sales teams

  • Manage timelines and budgets in accordance with Market Access strategic plans

  • Responsible for directing and monitoring all third party agencies and vendors

This job might be for you if you:

  • Ensures the development, production management and implementation of tactical components of the Market Access Strategy to support HCP/Reimbursement activities including but not limited to:

    • Reimbursement resources, initiatives, and partnership opportunities

    • Digital tools including websites, mobile applications, and Tableau dashboards

    • Print and digital market access promotional materials

    • Non-personal initiatives, media campaigns

    • Field pull through resources

    • Field team workshops / training

    • Provide meeting planning support and develop resources for conventions, speaker events, ad boards, POA meetings, etc.

  • Demonstrated background of strong strategic planning and tactical development skills

  • Excellent project management skills, proven abilities to manage multiple stakeholders, meet tight timelines and produce consistent, outstanding work products

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks ensuring timing delivery while maintaining a high level of quality and on budget

  • Strong Teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills, including the ability to build stakeholder trust, gain alignment and navigate ambiguity

  • Excellent understanding of the US market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals

  • Experience in the buy and bill space

To be considered for this role candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years' progressive related pharmaceutical industry experience. 5-7+ years experience including reimbursement payer marketing, brand marketing, contracting, account management, customer facing role, and/or health economics.

Salary Range (annually)

$176,900.00 - $294,800.00
