Job Details
We are looking for a Director of Process Data Enablement and Analytics (DE&A) who will ensure data is usable and useful to enable data-driven decision making within all areas of Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development (PMPD), who is the critical link between research and GMP manufacturing. In this role, you will be providing leadership to an existing expansive, highly integrated and automated data system which supports functionally paperless laboratories. This role would also include mentoring for existing team members, as well as domain expert data managers within a distributed model.
A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:
- Coordinate PMPD DE&A group, which is responsible for the design, maintenance, and continued development of PMPD data systems and infrastructure used to acquire, analyze, visualize, interpret, and transform data into accurate, consistent, and timely process information and knowledge.
- Act as key liaison between PMPD and the Regeneron IT organization, partnering to ensure IT and OT short- and long-term strategies are aligned and enabling the next generation of process development by creating a comprehensive, unified vision and implementation plan for current and future systems and practices for data capture, analysis, management, and consumption.
- Ensuring uninterrupted availability of PMPDs Operational Technologies supporting the data lifecycle, including OSIsoft PI Historian, GE UNICORN, FactoryTalk, Process Analytical Technology platforms, Internet-Of-Things (IOT) infrastructure and devices, and in-house applications.
- Drive the strategic vision for PMPDs Data Engineering and Analytics efforts, in close collaboration with PMPD Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Managers, PMPD Senior Management, Regenerons IT organization, and colleagues within Regenerons clinical and commercial manufacturing organization.
- Responsible for defining, implementing, disseminating, and maintaining data standards/data dictionary in PMPD and ensure these align and are well coordinated with similar efforts at Regeneron Corporation level.
- Provide leadership and a communicate a clear and compelling vision of Data Enablement and Analytics direction and enables key reports to develop a successful plan to accomplish key objectives.

This position requires a BS with 12+ years, MS with 10+ years or PhD Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience. Familiarity with data and knowledge management platforms such as LIMS, BPS (Bioprocess Solution), RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server), SharePoint, Electronic Lab Notebook, and Atlassian Confluence preferred. An in-depth understanding of database design principles, systems architectural and communication standards including ANSI/ASI-95, Unified Namespace, OPC, DCOM, TCP/IP, and Industrial Ethernet, and experience in relational data modeling a plus. Exposure to lake and/or data warehousing strategies desired. Familiarity with agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) also a plus.
