About the Department                                                                                                                                               

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.

 

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position

Provide management & local oversight for finance and procurement policies and procedures, perform internal audits and liaise with both internal and external auditors on behalf of NNPILP. The position will advise, support & assist the organization in the fulfillment of local, regional & global responsibilities in finance and procurement.

 

Relationships

Reports to Manager.

 

Essential Functions

  • Internal Audit Function:
  • Conduct audits procedures, identifies issues, reviews/analyzes evidence, and documents processes
  • Assist in the planning of project activities
  • Document fieldwork in clear and concise workpapers according to department standards
  • Assist in determining that the Company’s operating units are in compliance with corporate standard operating procedures and policies
  • Prepare audit reports by listing the findings and recommendations and informally reviews with management personnel
  • Assist in development of the internal audit plan based on relevant work experience
  • Present findings to Senior Leadership Team, to include suggestions and plans for improvement
  • Finance and Procurement Improvement:
  • Support Business Support in activities designed to streamline, automate, or otherwise improve processes
  • Lead improvements in processes based on Internal/External Audits
  • Collaborate with corporate and other stakeholders to determine best practices and lead implementation efforts
  • Training for Finance and Procurement Compliance:
  • Oversee the development of training only for finance and procurement policy and procedures
  • Provide training to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with corporate team to ensure all policies and procedures are updated to reflect current practices
  • Finance/Procurement liaison for (GIA) Group Internal Audit
  • Support external financial/ procurement audits & inquiries
  • Support ad hoc projects as required by local, regional, or global stakeholders
  • Provide support, assistance & back-up to all finance processes, as assigned
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor Science in finance, accounting, economics, or related field from an accredited university required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or advanced degree such as master’s from an accredited university in lieu of CPA certification required
  • Minimum ten (10) years of public accounting/auditing experience or minimum fifteen (15) years of corporate finance/accounting/procurement experience in private industry required
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • Finance/Procurement acumen required
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing & operations preferred
  • Strong ability to think strategically and resolve complex issues required
  • Proficiency in MS office products & working knowledge of databases & spreadsheets for use in tax applications required
  • Internal auditing experience and process knowledge required
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels of the organization required
  • Presentation skills required
  • Ability to establish credibility & influence with diverse audiences required
  • Strong process improvement, problem solving & organizational skills required
  • Highly motivated & energetic, willingness to lead projects & take initiative required
  • Ability to manage & prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment & to navigate between business areas within the legal entity required
  • Experience working with senior management in a corporate environment with access to confidential information required
  • Understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, COBIT and COSO Internal Control frameworks required
