External Manufacturing (EM) Business Operations is dedicated to monitoring and optimizing our processes to deliver medicines consistently and efficiently to our patients. The Senior EM Analyst plays a key role in Responsible for supporting these External Manufacturing (EM) business operations activities to meet defined strategic imperatives and tactical goals. The Senior Analyst works to develop an integrated view of our processes by analyzing analyzes key data to assist in development of EM strategy, EM process simplification, and standardization initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Works closely with management and business partners to elicit detailed requirements and document value streams and processes in support of delivering new business capabilities.

  • Partners with a diverse business community to document complex and cross-functional as-is and to-be business processes can identify gaps between them.

  • Ensure solutions developed across organization are aligned to Department standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits).

  • Collaborate with business leaders, providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives.

  • Identifies planning and initiative needs and ensure proposed initiatives fit with business capability roadmaps.

  • Analyzes the industry and market trends and determine new and potential business solutions.

  • In conjunction with business partners, initiate IT project requests, perform/lead initial analysis of the request and provide initial assessment and estimation of the effort.

  • Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, and/or software procurement.

  • Reviewing, analyzing, evaluating ideas, projects and opportunities to develop new products, new technologies and business models for the business.

  • Participates as a key member of implementation projects, which may include requirements gathering, application and process design, testing, validation and end-user knowledge transfer.

  • Supports, monitors, and analyzes metrics to identify gaps in current processes, improve service levels to internal and external customers, reduce waste and improve the value chain efficiency.

  • Supports and maintains dashboard of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to develop and track metrics to measure performance and improve efficiency linked with EM bowling charts.

  • Performs capacity data analysis in support of Planning/Scheduling for EM network.

  • Drives A3 problem solving and Continuous Improvement projects in EM by using tools such as Data Analysis, Process Mapping, Direct Observation, Root Cause Analysis, etc.

  • Supports Process Mapping and Kaizen events across the Supply Chain organization that are tied to Strategic EM imperatives.

  • Supports all EM functions with ad hoc data analysis requests.

  • Assists in development of presentations and EM strategy updates. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Experience:

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in business, data science, information technology, computer science or related disciplines and:

  • Assoc Analyst: Requires BS/BA in business, engineering or related discipline and 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Analyst: Requires BS/BA in business, engineering or related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Senior Analyst: Requires BS/BA in business, engineering or related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior experience in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech , Medical Devices or Research environment preferred

  • At least 4 years in gathering requirements and business analysis required

  • Any AI / Data certifications preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding how to create data models using tools like IDA, Erwin, ER/Studio; Familiarity with designing how different applications communicate and work together using tools like RSA, Boomi, Apigee.

  • Understanding of tools that help manage and use APIs; Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Self-starter, needs to be able to work independently using time management and project management skills to hit key timelines or deadlines

  • Familiarity with IT project management tools is a plus

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communication as well as visualizations.

  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of operations analysis and process design/improvement.

  • Strong excel and data analysis skills..

  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.

Salary Range (annually)

$58,480.40 - $124,300.00
