The Post Doctoral Fellow at Amgen conducts research under the supervision of a mentor. They contribute to the design and execution of research projects, the analysis of data, and the preparation of scientific manuscripts.
The Cell Line Development/Genetic Characterization group at Amgen, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow with extensive experience in molecular biology, cellular engineering, and protein expression to join their team
The Cell Line Development/Genetic Characterization group is a critical path team responsible for the generation of highly productive manufacturing cell lines for Amgens rich and diverse large molecule pipeline. We are constantly developing innovative approaches and solutions to improve the expression of complex molecules. The Postdoctoral Fellow will collaborate cross-functionally and employ their molecular and cellular biology expertise to understand the basic mechanisms contributing to efficient and stable expression of our therapeutic molecule.
The assignment is expected to be 2 years long and the candidate will have opportunities to publish discoveries in peer-reviewed journals.

Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. at the time of appointment in a life science discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, bioengineering
Expertise in modern molecular, cell biology, biochemistry, genomics and epigenomics laboratory techniques such as cell culture, transfection, CRISPR gene editing and next-generation sequencing (NGS)
Experience in bioinformatics analysis of NGS data is preferred.
Track record of independent research through first-author publications in top journals
Curious and highly motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Collaborative and proven experience working in multi-discplinary and cross-functional settings.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
