Senior Medical Scientist - Global Medical Affairs Oncology Solid Tumor

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will support the development and execution of global medical affairs strategy for numerous oncology assets clinical development within the Amgen solid tumor franchise.
- Contribute to the global medical strategy through deep understanding of medical practice Provide support for the development and achievement of the clinical development plan for the oncology products through strategic medical insights and optimization of clinical trial achievement for studies (in collaboration with GMAT)
- Actively provide insights and support the development of the Target Product Profile Support the Oncology Solid Tumors Global Medical Affairs Team with the objective of advancing and accelerating the Oncology pipeline
- Support the development and fulfillment of global medical affairs strategy including medical insight generation and translation into medical strategy
- Coordinate with the regions to support the development and execution of the external partner management plan (including advisory boards), communication strategy, scientific platform, publication plan and evidence generation plans for oncology product
- Partner on evidence generation and ensure key regional/local needs are addressed Develop robust external partner engagement and insight gathering to strengthen understanding of the unmet need and improve medical value of the oncology products
- Enhance Amgen's reputation as a science-based and patient focused reliable partner

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience
OR
Masters degree and 4 years of relevant experience
OR
Bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant experience
OR
Associates degree and 10 years of relevant experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:- 2+ years Medical Affairs experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO) that includes collaborations with integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, and/or payers
- 2+ years of clinical research experience and/or basic science combined with clinical instructing and patient care activities ideally in oncology
- Experience with partner engagement and interactions (e.g. opinion leaders, advocacy groups, collaborative research networks)
- In-depth understanding of scientific method and clinical applications based on medical, scientific and practical rationale
- Familiarity with concepts of clinical research, clinical trial design, real world evidence, and biostatistics
- Familiarity with phase clinical studies
- Sound scientific/medical judgment Strong long term strategic vision and ability to anticipate and adapt to rapid changes to the treatment landscape
- Familiarity with regulations and guidelines that govern pharma industry practices

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
