The Position

This job will perform all aspects of warehousing requirements for NNUSBPI regarding the General Warehouse and Cold Storage, functioning as part of a high-performance work team.

Essential Functions

  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Inventory Control of newly received components/materials to include receiving in ERP system and placing in correct locations
  • Fill material requests from internal customers including transacting of materials in ERP system
  • Maintain warehouse organization
  • Maintain stock in multiple storage areas
  • Physical inventory to include cycle counts
  • Reorder of non-inventory packaging and warehouse supplies
  • Preparation and shipping of finished product
  • General shipping to include hazardous materials
  • Regular inspection of warehouse equipment
  • Maintain up to date training status
  • Incorporate the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others

    Physical Requirements

    The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and walk. The ability to push, pull, lift, finger, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up to 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment, and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. Ability to distinguish colors. Corrected vision to 20/30. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions, working in narrow aisles, and temperature changes.

     

    Qualifications

    • Education and Certifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write legibly, and understand all department documentation. Training or experience to demonstrate an understanding of the risks inherent to the processing, handling and storage of hazardous materials
  • Work Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience, preferably in a GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • IATA certification for shipment of hazardous materials, preferred
  • Basic math skills including knowledge of metric system
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and computerized inventory control systems to include SAP
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good organizational skills. Ability to execute a work plan and adapt to changes in the schedule
