Job Details
The Demand Planning Manager is a role to provide support for demand forecasting and product supply analysis to the US Commercial team and will be the liaison between Global Supply Chain and other key stakeholders. You will perform various functions, including quantitative analysis, cost benefit analysis, data mining and data modeling, and act as the DSCSA Business Lead and Subject Matter Expert. You will help to analyze demand and supply, collecting and analyzing, current and historical data to identify strategic and operational insights while improving compliance through successful operations of the end-to-end business process from the point of order drop in SAP to customer compliance report data.
The Demand Planning Manager will support the CSL Seqirus US business ensuring product availability and delivery performance to meet customer contract commitments within the Commercial Customer Operations organization. You will work across a global manufacturing network working with members of the Supply Chain to analyze proper coordination of product supply. You will contribute to strategies and concepts for improving the process. Use of critical thinking skills to obtain insights from the data, analyze trends and provide insights is critical to this role.
The Demand Planning Manager will prepare dashboards to provide reliable activity data to stakeholder with key insights. You will also monitor contract compliance and supply vs. demand adherence. You will be the business lead and SME of CSL Seqirus’s DSCSA compliance system including the interfaces with other CSL Seqirus business and IT systems and oversee the successful operation of the end-to-end business process from the point of order drop in SAP to customer receipt of EPCIS data.
The Role:Uses quantitative analysis to develop mathematical baseline and qualitative data to achieve our customer commitments.
Measures KPIs providing insight into the data.
Communicates plan to improve the KPI to key stakeholders.
Provides communication via dashboards with insights within commercial team on status of schedule adherence and manufacturing performance.
Uses critical thinking skills to obtain insights from the data, analyze trends and provide insights
Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity and improve decision-making.
Stays up to date on business process and industry changes, and benchmarks data sharing key insights.
Leads others in process improvement, driving innovation, operation support implementation and being the workforce management subject matter expert.
Participates in cross-functional teams using continuous improvement methodologies and tools to solve difficult and complex systemic problems.
Ensures projects are rolled out and delivered according to milestones, value targets and other relevant factors.
Leads cross-functional meetings and increase value-chain communication to increase awareness
Maintains a comprehensive Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) serialization program, including execution of track and trace release verifications and product returns serial number verification as required.
Responsible for the successful operation of the end-to-end business process of EPCIS data including system monitoring, reporting, gap analysis, and issue resolution.
Supports US Data Control to ensure a high level of quality of product & customer master data to minimize delivery issues.
Facilitates the end-to-end process for onboarding GLN customers by coordinating with US Commercial Data Control, customer DSCSA contact, and customer’s 3rd party solution provider (if required) and facilitating proper configuration.
Tracks details and progress of GLN customer onboarding
Leads projects (as needed) that directly affect the DSCSA business processes.
Follows and enforces established guidelines/work instructions for business processes.
Stays up to date with industry trends, guidelines, or changes as it relates to management of DSCSA data to ensure compliance with regulations, enhance customer experience, and improve operation efficiency
Recommends improvements to boost performance and reduce costs in the Demand Planning space.
Evaluates reports and data sources and directs the creation of user-friendly dashboards to manage providing key insights.
Documents business processes and create work instructions related to Demand Planning activities.
Supports BI initiatives and ensure data accuracy on current BI reports.
Supports the team in testing software upgrades/changes for eSolutions.
Effectively utilizes analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize problems in the supply chain and recommend alternate solutions.
Supports continuous improvement of existing processes and development of new processes.
Responsible for ongoing system maintenance and after-action review and process/system improvements in the off season to improve our ability to meet DSCSA requirement.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Inventory Management or related field
5-7 years in Demand Planning/Inventory Management/supply chain management role
Demonstrated leadership/team building experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry preferred.
DSCSA serialization program experience preferred.
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
General understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
Ability to create Excel spreadsheets utilizing advanced formulas and functions
Experience building reports/analyses on large data sets using analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Six Sigma certification recommended but not required.
