Software Engineer, Molecular Design

Position Summary 

We are looking for a candidate who can optimize and improve the internal molecular design platform, tDesign, a Streamlit-powered web app that enables our molecular design and medicinal chemistry teams to interface with our in-house generative models. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Modularizing code for appropriate testing, such that we can iterate rapidly while maintaining reliability.  
• Writing Streamlit user interfaces to make our algorithms easier to interact with 
• Writing data pipelines and optimizing the distribution of compute across on-prem and cloud compute environments 
• Working in collaboration with computational chemists, cheminformatics scientists, and machine learning engineers to translate algorithms into usable tools 

Experience and Qualifications 

Given the company’s size, anticipated growth, and fast-paced environment, the organization requires a candidate who can work effectively within the existing Engineering team and collaborate with other teams to further enhance our next generation drug discovery capabilities.

Required Qualifications 

• Strong Python skills 
• Strong software architecture knowledge with the ability to make independent decisions 
• Understand how to isolate components for best practices unit and integration testing 
• Experience with Docker and deploying CI/CD pipelines 
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms 
• Enough React/JS knowledge to help customize Streamlit components 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with on-prem GPU management and deployment 
• Experience with Ansible or other deployment frameworks 
• Some knowledge of PyTorch and basic ML algorithms 
• Knowledge of computational chemistry, biology, or drug discovery

Compensation Details

$116,000-$174,000 per year, participation in the Company's option plan, 3% 401K contribution, company-paid health, dental, and vision benefits.
