In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. The Position

Act as champion for the Reliability Excellence program & drive improvements into the maintenance processes, to include Reliability, Planning, Scheduling, Spare Parts, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, establishing maintenance strategies, supporting maintenance excellence initiatives, SOP development; establishing & maintaining positive working relationship with internal & external engineering teams & stakeholders, management of vendor & service contracts.

Essential Functions

  • Lead reliability program with implementation of projects focused on improving maintenance processes & CMMS and drive alignment across the site
  • Provide training to & facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to classify assets & develop cost effective maintenance plans & spare parts stocking strategies to support operations
  • Lead ISO 55001 Standards and Asset Management process
  • Create metrics to visualize maintenance and asset performance for stakeholders
  • Provide Line of Business with updates to maintenance plans and increase equipment reliability
  • Standardize the CMMS system and implement process and programs to enhance reliability of data entered to support reliability and maintenance excellence programs
  • Lead Risk Management Planning workshops in anticipation of risks that could adversely impact plant operation
  • Lead Failure Analysis & Reporting & develop engineering solutions for repetitive failures
  • Lead site shutdown planning & execution
  • Ensure effective communication & positive working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead continuous process improvements using cLEAN® or Six Sigma tools
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties

    Physical Requirements

    Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid drivers license.

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study from an accredited university required
  • May consider a Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in maintenance and reliability methodologies and practices
  • May consider a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in maintenance and reliability methodologies and practices
  • Maintenance & Reliability / Asset Management Accreditation l (CMRP, CRL, AMP) or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of (5) years in engineering field with a focus in equipment reliability & Maintenance, to include a risk-based approach in development/optimization of maintenance strategies required
  • Proficiency with programming languages: writing code & implementing computer programs on multiple systems. Excel-Macros, Python, Java scripting, C++ preferred
  • Aptitude for learning & implementing new technologies preferred
  • Working knowledge of best-in-class maintenance practices & metrics preferred
  • Working knowledge of using CMMS (SAP PM & MM preferred) preferred
  • Working knowledge of the following concepts: FMEA, RCM, Reliability by Design, PM optimization, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Analysis preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing cross functional/team-based improvements, knowledgeable in change management fundamentals preferred
  • Working knowledge of FDA requirements related to manufacturing & documentation (cGMP, cGDP) preferred
  • Knowledgeable with Pharmaceutical / Chemical processing equipment a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with complex data management in excel preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in driving improvements using cLEAN® or Six Sigma tools a plus
  • Proven expertise in project management, change management & stakeholder management preferred
  • Creation of work plans for medium complexity projects/plans being executed by cross functional teams a plus
  • Must be able to work 4 days a week, 10 hr shift. Monday - Thursday
