Their strong analytical skills enable them to derive, interpret, and effectively communicate complex scientific insights. With excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, they are proactive, adaptable, and responsive to evolving research priorities and challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, execute, and analyze high-throughput “Omics” experiments including CRISPR screens and RNA and DNA-seq to identify genes involved in disease pathways and conduct MoA studies for pathway inhibitors.
  • Proficient in routine bioinformatics analysis and interpretation including RNA-Seq, DNA-seq, CHIP-seq etc.)
  • Integrate functional genomics data with other omics datasets to generate comprehensive biological insights and identify and prioritize potential novel therapeutic targets.
  • Design and perform follow-up experiments to validate identified targets using a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including bioinformaticians, biologists, and chemists to advance research projects.
  • Develop and implement innovative Omics methodologies to address challenging biological questions
  • Present research findings to internal teams and at scientific conferences.

Qualifications

  • Postdoc Fellowship plus 4 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 16 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus 18 years of relevant experience in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a closely related field, with substantial hands-on research experience.
  • Proficiency in designing and conducting CRISPR screens including CRISPR knockout (CRISPR KO), CRISPR interference (CRISPRi), and CRISPR activation (CRISPRa) including library design, delivery methods, and data analysis.
  • Design and perform experiments involving high-throughput sequencing (e.g., DNA-seq, RNA-seq), and other omics techniques
  • Strong background in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • Experience with bioinformatics analysis tools and software for analyses of high-throughput sequencing data.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and tools used in genetic screen analysis (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
