Summary
Develops and executes payer strategies and tactics to ensure inline product and pipeline product success and appropriate reimbursement placement In partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, this position will develop strategic plans and utilize appropriate tools and tactics to execute on disease education and brand initiatives for his/her assigned brands, customer segments (payers or systems), or function e.g. pull-through.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement payer marketing promotional campaigns including the messages and program materials to be used by Field Market Access with assigned customer segments. Deliverables include:
- Field Market Access material support for value message and pull through: visual aids, value decks and other brand messaging campaign elements/materials including non-personal materials as needed. Includes the development and implementation of pre-launch materials and disease state campaigns for launch approaching brands.
- Responsible for ensuring close collaboration with Brand teams and co-promote partners (if applicable) in order to ensure that all strategies and tactics as well as marketing mix align with the Brands’ goals and objectives.
- Regulatory approvals: Responsible for PMRT (Product Material Review Team) PGC (Promotional Grant Committee) process management related to projects and programs.
- Market research: Generates primary and secondary data points to support strategies through market research, advisory boards, and Field Market Access feedback mechanisms. Understand, monitor, and evaluate the effect of healthcare marketplace changes and evolving delivery systems, analyze alternative engagement models and develop strategic market access recommendations for in-line and pipeline products in assigned channels.
- Lead management of Managed Markets GPO program tactics
- Collaborate with GPO team to manage budget and all applicable content
- Develop new programs in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to educate customers about relevant healthcare topics
- Create access generating tools (assisting Field Market Access team to meet with targeted customers): customer-mediated formulary adherence initiatives, unbranded and disease state awareness tools and resources
- Manage agency and vendor relationships to develop promotional programs and tactics aligned with the payer/brand strategy
- Effectively manage budgets and project timelines
Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)
- Bachelor's Degree required
Experience Qualifications
- 4 or More Years overall related experience required
- Background in oncology (oral or IV) and/or orphan/rare disease preferred
- 4 or More Years in pharmaceutical / biotech payer related positions preferred
Travel
Ability to travel up to 20%. Overnight travel, domestic and international.
