Job Details
Regeneron is currently looking for a Manager Process Sciences to join our Integrated Manufacturing Support team. A Manager Process Sciences is a non-lab based scientific role focusing on problem solving and performing/ reviewing scientific and technical investigations. They will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and support biopharmaceutical production activities across the Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Rensselaer site.
As a Manager Process Sciences, a typical day might include the following:
- Build and develop a high performing team of process scientists and engineers through collaborative and compassionate leadership to help team members reach their full potential.
- Identify and/or lead efficiency and continuous improvement projects towards the goal of increasing process efficiency, product quality, and compliance.
- Collaborate with department management to formulate, promote, and execute continuous improvements and Strategic Initiatives (SIs).
- Interact with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, and other Process Sciences teams to drive root cause investigations and implement process improvements, including facilitating cross-functional team consensus.
- Lead, author, and review scientific root cause investigations and develop corrective action plans to resolve complex deviations related to process control and product quality.
- Participate in technical interactions with regulators for health authority inspections.
- Conduct data analysis and utilize statistical process control tools to identify trends and analyze process-related data, promoting consistency and improvements.
- Lead and present process data and investigational findings at group, department, and cross department meetings (including leadership).
- Monitor production processes to proactively acquire vital data in support of preventing issues and tracking efficiency of changes.
This role might be for you if you:
- Have experience with statistics, bioprocessing operations (i.e. Cell Culture, Chromatography, Filtration, Formulation, Fill/Finish), and analytical methods (i.e. HPLC, ELISA, PCR, SDS-PAGE) are preferred.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you have the innate ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize them and execute them thoughtfully and independently.
- Are detail oriented, quality driven and well organized.
- Can take on new and ambiguous challenges, learning quickly.
- Enjoy working in a team environment but can also take ownership of multi-faceted technical projects.
- Can develop and drive scientific and/or business-related continuous improvement ideas, including SIs.
To be considered for the Manager Process Sciences you must be willing and able to work Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm. You must have a BS/BA in Life Sciences or Engineering, or a related field; Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry is preferred. For various levels you must have the following:
- Associate Manager Process Sciences : 6+ years of related experience
- Manager Process Sciences : 7+ years of related experience
Leadership experience is required. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
