We currently have an opportunity in the Process Development Business Strategy Integration (BSi) group for a Manager, Business Performance who will help to drive Process Development strategy, goals, and cross-functional initiatives.
Process Development is responsible for enabling commercialization of the product pipeline, product lifecycle management, and technical manufacturing support of Amgen commercial products. BSi maximizes Process Developments ability to deliver on the highest value opportunities by bridging the business of Amgen and the science of PD through cross-functional alignment and integrated business insights. We do this through 4 strategic pillars: (1) Data and Systems, (2) Insights and Decision Support, (3) Productivity and Financials, and (4) Operational Strategy.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the BSi PD group. The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives and analyses to provide guidance to the PD senior leadership. Working with our business partners and PD functional groups this person will also develop and manage key communications within PD.
Strategic Development: Lead the development of effective strategies to achieve PD's mission, vision, and goals by collaborating with senior leadership and staff across Process Development.
Cross-Functional Facilitation: Provide facilitation for key cross-functional initiatives, including charter development, meeting and workshop facilitation, and translating them into meaningful outputs.
OKRs Management: Build, track, and deliver on PDs OKRs (Objectives & Key Results).
KPI Framework: Develop KPI frameworks and tools for Process Development, considering and implementing opportunities for automation.
Strategic Analysis: Perform strategic, operational, and financial analysis to drive business case recommendations.
Trend Analysis: Conduct trend analysis to inform decisions.
Communication: Communicate analysis and recommendations to PD senior management and develop communication materials (e.g., operating reviews).
Project Management: Prioritize multiple assignments and ensure timely delivery.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of engineering, science or business management experience OR
Associates degree and 8 years of engineering, science or business management experience OR
Bachelors degree and 4 years of engineering, science or business management experience OR
Masters degree and 2 years of engineering, science or business management experience OR
Doctorate degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in strategic ideation, facilitation, and advancement.
Experience in business performance metrics development, data management, data prep and data visualizations (Alteryx and Tableau).
Project management skills to review and understand timelines based on cross-functional inputs and assumptions.
Ability to multitask; effectively prioritize, plan, and follow through on complex projects.
Ability to manage and lead complex, cross-functional team responsible for driving Continuous Improvement in Process Development in alignment with the Operations network.
Demonstrated understanding of drug development, commercialization, product lifecycle management, and operations planning
Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
Good business acumen, high-level strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to structure, pragmatically scope, and solve abstract and complex problems.
Strong writing and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to drive decisions.
Proven experience as a member and leader of a high performing team.
Proven leadership skills, organizational and project management experience.
Experience developing and mentoring staff.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
