The Position

This role will provide strategic and operational support to the Executive Director of Clinical Data Analytics and Modeling (CDAM). In their role, they will support the Executive Director by organizing and prioritizing critical information for the Executive Director by fielding and coordinating timely responses to day-to-day and recurring requests. The individual in this role will provide oversight and guidance to projects of strategic importance and be responsible for communicating relevant information within the CDAM team. The role will regularly evaluate organizational efficiency and make necessary changes to maximize efficiency and productivity. This Senior Manager will regularly assess the needs of the team and must also be mindful of long-range plans to address future needs.

 

Relationships

This position reports to the Executive Director, Clinical Data Analytics & Modeling (CDAM) and supports all teams within CDAM.

 

Additional key internal NNI relationships include other operationally focused counterparts in CDSE, CMR functions as well as Legal, Finance and IT.

 

External relationships include multiple vendors, consultants and research collaborators.

 

Essential Functions

  • Support of Executive Director led strategic initiatives as well as other cross-functional initiatives focusing on strategic planning, organizational development and/or cross-functional collaboration
  • The incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring CDAM team processes work together well, ensure that these processes are routinely audited and improved, if needed
  • Develops agendas for monthly and quarterly CDAM meetings, determining agenda topics, driving meeting flow and ensuring follow-up to agreed-upon action items to include coordinating with other support and strategic functions
  • Liaising with the appropriate stakeholders/teams to make sure budgets are appropriately requested, distributed and tracked across the team
  • Providing onboarding support for new team members, and continuous training for existing team members, on processes, templates, etc.
  • Builds and maintains trusting, collaborative relationship and alliances with others inside and outside of the organization, which help accomplish key business objectives
  • Leads generation of reports and oversees departmental information gathering and dissemination for all audits and compliance related activities
  • The CDAM leadership team may at times need to run strategic special projects – this role will support these strategic activities when needed, by supporting the leadership team
  • Tracking and monitoring team KPIs
  • Other support as needed including culture activities and creation of meeting materials

    Physical Requirements

    0-10% overnight travel required.

     

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, preferably in healthcare-related field (heath economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, public health, health services research, biostatistics, biomedical sciences) or business management
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
  • At least 4 years’ project management experience in clinical/data/pharma/health care, preferably in a consulting role
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (written, verbal and presentations) and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional team interaction
  • Excellent collaborator with ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills and experience with process improvement, budget management and system maintenance
  • Strong analytical skills. Capability to turn data into insights, tracking and maintaining team data, and provide recommended actions based on a solid knowledge of the business
  • Excellent computer skills and strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-confident with a growth-mindset and continually focused on procedure improvement, innovation and results. Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors
  • Presentable, highly articulate, goal-oriented, with high integrity and strong ethics
