Job DescriptionTakeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist in Cambridge, MA with the following requirements: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field plus 2 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Ability to design and perform standard small-scale (<10 g) organic chemistry laboratory experiments, with familiarity of relevant safety protocols, including cryogenic reactions, Schlenk line techniques (water-free and oxygen-free), distillations, filtrations, crystallizations, extractions, and preparative chromatography; Utilize analytical techniques used in Pharmaceutical Process Chemistry (select technique or technique, prepare tests, collect data, interpret). Key techniques are NMR spectroscopy, chromatography (TLC, GC, HPLC, MPLC), Infrared (IR), Karl Fisher titration; Troubleshoot critical issues or problems relevant to pharmaceutical process chemistry development and determine causes and solutions by careful experimentation; Communicate scientific and non-scientific information clearly and concisely within team; document issues and/or concerns with colleagues; Communicate issues to supervisor and project team(s) in a timely manner possess technical writing skills to support contributing to internal technical documents; Utilize knowledge in organic synthesis, purification techniques, and analytical methods to characterize and assess the quality of Antibody-Drug conjugate intermediates and products; Develop and maintain an understanding of high potency material handling, including experience with containment strategies, equipment, and procedures to ensure safe handling and processing. Up to 5% domestic and international travel required. Up to 5% remote work allowed.
Full time. $96,600 - $165,600.00/year.
