Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our Research team as a part of Regeneron Cell Medicines. You will help support CAR-T/TCR pre-clinical research to grow our cellular immunotherapy programs, singularly focused on delivering transformative medicine to patients.
As a Senior Scientist, a typical day might include:
Independently designing and carrying out studies that provide the scientific basis for making data-driven decisions, (e.g., selection of top CAR constructs based on in vitro CAR-T cell characterization)
Performing standard T cell characterization assays (e.g., co-cultures to evaluate antigen-dependent cytokine release, target cell cytotoxicity, and T cell proliferation)
Designing and optimizing novel assays for interrogation of CAR T cell function
Contributing to new technology assessment and implementation
Collaborating productively and creatively with other scientists to develop and test novel CAR designs
Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data at working groups and departmental seminars, as well as representing the Research team in a variety of cross-functional forums
This role might be for you if you:
Have an ability and desire to generate results in multiple projects simultaneously and proven ability to effectively plan and organize work activities to meet schedules and deadlines
Are experienced presenting data in a variety of team settings and actively participate in departmental meetings as well as cross-functional research teams
Have a passion for addressing the critical unmet medical needs of patients
In order to be considered for this role, you must have a Ph.D. with 0-3 years or a BS/MS and 8-10+ years of relevant experience in immunology, molecular biology, or related field. We are looking for someone with a strong scientific foundation in or proximal to the CAR-T cell field and sound technical fundamentals in basic immunology and molecular biology workflows. Must have experience with mammalian cell culture and expertise in standard immunological assays (flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD/Luminex). Expertise in molecular biology techniques (cloning, cell line engineering) also required. Familiarity with CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing a plus. Experience with FlowJo, Graphpad Prism, and Geneious preferred.
