Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring for a Finance Manager for the Global Oncology Business Unit. This Finance Manager will be the finance business partner supporting and managing the comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting for key global functions in OBU, including Global Oncology Product & Pipeline Strategy (GOPPS) and Medical Affairs (GMAO). In addition to the Global Functions there are 4 In-Line Brands and Pipeline Assets the FBP will support the cross functional budget management and provides in-depth exposure to brand strategies and direct contribution to brand growth. This role will work closely with the Medical Evidence Generation team supporting the IISR and Phase 4 studies, along with closely partnering with OTAU R&D on OBU Sponsored Studies. They will also lead the financial planning and monthly close process for functions supported and also lead value-add analyses to address ongoing management concerns and issues and provides advisory support for OPEX and resource management. They will also support GLOBU Country P&L analysis which includes Royalty Income streams/Milestones and manufacturing sales, to cogs to expenses
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead and manage financial planning processes for assigned. commercial/medical teams, resulting in accurate submissions both on product royalty revenues and Costs (personnel and project/tactical expenses)
Strategically partner with Global Marketing and Medical Heads to determine existing and future brand investments.
Oversee concise and well thought out financial presentations for annual planning cycle reviews with senior level management.
Direct and drive meaningful quantitative analysis and business discussion.
Be accountable for correct implementation/execution of key Financial processes in supported departments such as education on purchase order (PO) and accrual management, on use of reporting tools and finance concepts. Proactively provide advisory services.
Act as a mentor to OBU Finance analyst and finance development program (FDP) colleagues and Co-Ops
The Finance Manager’s primary contacts will be internal customers such as Brand and Functional team members. They will also interact with other members of the OBU Finance Team to learn/share best practices and competencies
Make recommendations and presents solutions on financial issues to senior commercial and financial management.
Advises management of financial implications of strategic decisions.
Create a best-in-class management reporting function.
Identifies important trends and make recommendations on issues to senior management as part of the recurring monthly reporting process
Month-end/quarter-end close and Financial reporting:
Manage the monthly financial close process including identifying and resolving discrepancies in actual transactions in SAP versus planned activity and instructing accounting to post correcting entries as necessary.
Ensure business partners review Purchase order information at month-end in the Digital Accrual solution portal based on robust inputs from vendors
Distribute monthly reporting packages to business partners, summarizing financial results for assigned functional area and brands (revenues, opex, FTE).
Perform SoX controls as requested
Financial planning (annual plan, re-forecast, long rang plan):
Lead financial planning process for assigned Brands and Functional areas (Opex and FTEs), resulting in highly accurate forecast, timely submissions and management presentations including supporting analyses as required by brand leads and function heads, and risk & opportunities assessment
Revenue & COGS forecast:
Support the review and validation of partner sales forecasts and resulting royalty revenues. Monitor relevant KPIs, trends and events impacting the business and incorporate into forecasts.
Review and assess royalty expense reports for completeness and accuracy (quarterly) for key external partners across the business unit
Opex and FTE:
Partner with cross-functional brand teams to develop an accurate forecast for tactical expenses that mirrors strategic imperatives and includes prioritization levels.
Partner with functional areas to forecast above brand tactical expenses, FTEs and functional headcount related expenses
FP&A excellence and other Business partnering activities:
Support and Influence key operational and strategic decisions and enable data/fact-based decision making.
Establish partnerships and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and their teams
Develop finance acumen of business partners and drive the use of self-service reporting tools
Improve forecasting accuracy through modeling based on main business drivers and shape reporting driving business insights
Streamline processes and create operational efficiencies by identifying process simplification and automation opportunities for reporting and financial planning activities. Leverage existing global finance tools and partner with FP&A excellence team to create new tools/reports. Collaborate with the broader OBU Finance team to leverage best practices from and learn about other parts of OBU.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in an accounting / financial discipline is required or equivalent experience, with 4+ years of working experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
Experience with management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting is required.
Experience in dealing with people with a keen focus on customer service is required.
Working as part of a team is required
Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written, in a persuasive, organized and appropriate manner, including running meetings and preparing presentations for customer groups.
Ability to analyze monthly financial results and to understand how to use this information to drive projects that will impact the business.
Ability to set priorities and meet specific deadlines in a changing environment, ability to be flexible, accommodating, and to deal with change effectively.
Ability to gain trust of high-level management and leverage relationships to provide best possible financial plans and drive impactful analytical projects.
Ability to work effectively in and foster a team environment.

$96,600.00 - $151,800.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
