The Position
The Therapy Area Training Specialist, APIS Employee Experience, will be responsible for implementing and facilitating new hire/onboarding phase and incumbent training for all field sales representatives. The APIS Therapy Area Training Specialist will support the building and evolution of the new hire learning journey and help drive business outcomes. They will be the SME's for the aligned therapeutic areas supporting their aligned Manager of A&F.
The APIS Therapy Area Training Specialist will support the A&F and capabilities teams on special projects. The special projects will require performance consulting with client groups to assess business gaps and prioritize learning needs. The APIS Therapy Area Training Specialist will be responsible for helping build and evolve capabilities to drive outcomes and will execute against strategies determined by the Director of A&F in conjunction with the brand leads and teams. The APIS Therapy Area Training Specialist may also facilitate instructor-led and virtual training for incumbent and Plan of Action (POA) workshops.
Relationships
This position reports to the Associate Director - Academy & Franchise; and collaborates with other EE team members, Marketing, Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP), Legal & Compliance, EE Operations, and other internal stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Execute the new hire learning journey, reporting back on progress to the client base
- Facilitate all new hire learning journey l training workshops, and help organize leaders as teachers approach through TtT
- Proactively share insights & provide recommendations with the Manager A&F
- Partner with EE teams to provide SME on curriculum content
- Consult with divisional mid-level brand and EE team on needs and performance gaps for salesforce
- Support ILT and VILT training needs for Incumbent and POA Workshops
- Spend time in field (1-1) according to new hire training process, coaching and developing newly hired representatives
- Proactively plan and recommend learning solutions to local management teams, with oversight from learning director
- Report back effectiveness of learning to client base
- Follow all established department SOPs (when relevant to role)
- Focus on horizontal/vertical development, in alignment with Manager, coaching & established IDP
Physical Requirements
20-30% overnight travel required; Driver must maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be in good standing by not exceeding the Novo Nordisk points threshold assigned based on review of Motor Vehicle Records.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 4 years pharmaceutical experience required, relevant NNI experience will apply
- Proven record of sustained superior sales performance over the last 24-month period
- Previous training, coaching, teaching or facilitation background preferred
