Eikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel treatments for life-threatening diseases. Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate 1 to join our interdisciplinary research team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our mission by actively contributing to cutting-edge research projects that bridge the gap between biology and technology. You will directly support both the advancement of our drug discovery pipeline, as well as the development of our live-cell super resolution imaging platform. As a Senior Research Associate 1, you will collaborate closely with both research and engineering teams to lead experimental efforts and drive the development of innovative solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with a team of scientists and engineers to advance Eikon’s drug discovery programs and further develop our novel live-cell super resolution imaging platform.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of cellular assays focused around Eikon’s imaging platform, with an emphasis on precision, rigor, and reproducibility.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams that span biology, chemistry, optical engineering, software engineering, and data science to provide expertise, insights, and scientific findings that drive project objectives.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations meticulously for accurate record-keeping.
  • Play an active role in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of research findings to internal teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest scientific breakthroughs and industry trends, integrating pertinent knowledge into research activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 2 years of experience or Bachelor's with 4 years of related experience in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of microscopy techniques and proficiency in image analysis. Experience developing or refining microscopy-based technologies / assays is a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of laboratory techniques, including PCR, Western blotting, cell transfection.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex experiments, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and tools commonly used in biological research.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with team members and contributing to a collaborative scientific environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently, drive research projects, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Adaptable and responsive to evolving research priorities and challenges in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this role is $97,000 to $106,400 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
