Join Takeda as an Associate Director, CMC Digitalization Innovation & Strategy you will be tasked with helping to define and implement a strategy to digitize the end-to-end cell therapy development process and enable scientists and leaders to access the right data and to help ask the right questions. You will be working alongside Process Development leaders, Data Engineers, and the Innovation team to help digitize our process development and manufacturing workflows and enable cross-functional access to data.

You will be working with Cell Therapy Process Development team and will be a highly qualified DD&T leader who drive CMC digitalization innovation and strategy across Takeda pipeline and platform activities.

You will report to the Head, Cell Therapy Technology, Digitalization and Workforce Innovation

How you will contribute:
  • Work to define and implement a strategy for end-to-end digitalization across Takeda’s cell therapy pipeline.

  • Assemble and manage cross-functional teams to achieve complex and future-forward digitalization goals and milestones across Takeda’s cell therapy process development pipeline.

  • Work directly with Data Science teams in R&D at Takeda along with other advanced analytics organizations across the company.

  • Partner and interface with Research Strategy and Operations team to ensure alignment against Research Vision, KPIs and business targets.

  • Track Cell Therapies digital evolution, ensuring appropriate workforce training and novel ways-of-working.

  • Design and implement change management plans to streamline adoption and implementation of novel technology solutions.

  • Work directly with lab scientists and project managers to understand data requirements and develop solutions for capturing, handling, and communicating of data.

  • Design and Implement solutions for difficult-to-structure data sets.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern data technologies and explore new platforms.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in computer science, Biology or other similar/applicable field

  • 6+ years experience or relevant in data collection and analysis

  • Experience implementing novel technology solutions across matrix teams and functions, particularly within research and CMC environments. Experience in biotech and Pharma highly preferred

  • Proven experience in creating, structuring and executing wholistic technology strategies/campaigns

  • Ability to translate and communicate complex data science concepts and challenges to non-technical colleagues.

  • Benefit to have knowledge of Cell Therapy processes and related data outputs

  • Benefit to have experience working in Process development and/or Manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to work in an agile environment with high-quality deliverables.

  • Understanding of Web Services.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases.

  • Experience with BI tools (Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI, JMP).

  • Benefit to have experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platforms (Werum, SAP, Siemens).

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
