Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will manage the day-to-day production schedule for Amgen North Carolina (ANC). As part of ANCs Finite Scheduling team within Manufacturing Support, this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day production schedule for ANCs biologics manufacturing facility. It is a highly visible role across the site with the core responsibility of supporting Manufacturing and Facilities & Engineering (F&E) by delivering a detailed schedule of manufacturing, maintenance, and collaborator activities. This role will also offer the opportunity to propose, participate, and lead team improvement initiatives to drive improved efficiency and scheduling accuracy. Examples of past and upcoming team initiatives include schedule adherence monitoring, new scheduling tool implementation, reporting and scheduling process standardization and automation, and development and integration of advanced scheduling tools (e.g., buffer volume tracking for buffer scheduling).
- Building and maintaining the ANC production schedule in multiple systems (i.e. VirTECS, Symphony, Smartsheets)
- Integrating the ANC maintenance activity schedule
- Leading semi-weekly stakeholder meetings to review scheduled client activities (e.g., PMs)
- Lead and support routine meetings to update and communicate the schedule with clients (i.e., manufacturing, facilities, and engineering)
- Leading team improvement initiatives to improve productivity and scheduling accuracy
- Off business hour on-call support as needed and regular morning meetings earlier than core hours (e.g., 7:45 am)

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma / GED and 4 years of Engineering or Operations experience OR
- Associates degree and 2 years of Engineering or Operations experience OR
- Bachelors degree and 6 months of Engineering or Operations experience OR
- Masters degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, or Science
- Demonstration of strong analytical proficiency
- Ability to work well with teams, open to change and new insights
- Ability to lead meetings, communicate and explain schedule recommendations effectively, and communicate well within team
- Clear analytical and critical thinking capability under pressure able to respond to scheduling changes, capture required data, evaluate options, and communicate analysis recommendations to facilitate decision making and make decisions
- Ability to indirectly lead large multi-functional team of partners and stakeholders across large biotech facility
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and error-proofing habits
- Knowledge of facility and manufacturing process within biotech and cell culture or purification operations
- Knowledge of scheduling tools and associated systems (Werum, VirtECS, MS Project, SAP, PI, Excel)
