What You’ll Be Doing:

As the leader of a team of software engineers, focused on patient engagement, you will use the best of what modern web technologies and architecture has to offer, to design solutions that transform patient experiences and improve treatment outcomes. These products will meet patients where they are at due to your close collaboration with our user-experience team. You will partner with peers to influence the development process as we scale, to create an impactful operation that is responsive to both business and patient needs.

  • As a Software Engineering manager, you will bring both your leadership and technical experience to design and build applications that exceed product goals and transform the ecosystem. 

  • Leveraging your strong background in software engineering to guide the teams work, help solve complex problems and set technology and architecture directions for products and platforms.

  • By maximizing the potential of your team, providing guidance, mentorship and growth opportunities while fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation.

  • Matching unique product needs to the resources and skills within your team, while managing and forecasting resourcing needs to keep up with demand.

  • Driving process change, continuously evaluating and enhancing software engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.

  • As a superb communicator and influencer with strong interpersonal skills, you will work and collaborate effectively with your team and product stakeholders. 

  • Setting clear, objectives, scope and schedules, ensuring the team understanding of expectations and priorities.

What You Should Bring:

  • Experience leading complex engineering projects from inception to production. 

  • Professional work experience in software engineering, building customer facing applications using Node.js, Vue.js, Python, Java, Scala, Go or Rust.

  • Experience in full stack development including RESTFul APIs, SOA/MSA, Message brokers (Kafka), Distributed Data Management (NoSQL, Event sourcing), Observability (Grafana), Splunk, Devops, CI/CD, Nginx and AWS/Azure.

  • A deep understanding of the Mulesoft platform and when to utilize it as the right tool for the job.

  • A strong ability to architect and design robust, high-scale systems and to challenge engineers to think bigger and more generically in developing their solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to scope, schedule and resource multiple complex projects in collaboration with other cross functional partners.

  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive, with outstanding communication skills. Can effectively communicate complex ideas and make compelling arguments

  • Excellent cross-functional influencer with experience working in a fast-paced environment with frequent context switching.

  • A working understanding of core concepts related to Machine Learning/AI and Data Engineering.

  • Distributed data storage and processing framework experience (Spark and Hadoop)

  • Experiencing growing and maturing software engineering teams to efficiently deliver high quality software products. 

Your Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technical field

  • 5 or more years working in software engineer roles

  • 3 or more years of leadership experience

  • Experience with web and cloud technologies
