The objective of the Operations Emerging Talent Rotational Program is to develop leadership skills and attributes with a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen and soft skills, so that you are ready to make a positive impact and use your talents to accomplish more than you thought possible. While being self-motivated is a key, Amgen provides a robust system to help make you successful. Selected candidates will work under minimal supervision and receive a solid mentor, coach, and buddy support system to guide you throughout the program.
Key responsibilities include:- Complete complex rotation assignments and tasks
- Dive into new topics, work areas and functions, ramp up your knowledge quickly to contribute meaningfully, and meet expectations and milestones
- Demonstrate agility and flexibility while transitioning through 3 rotations
- Understand the wider business context and how your own work contributes to Amgen's strategies and goals
- Use data and insights to drive business performance
We have open positions based in Holly Springs, NC. Amgen North Carolina is a new, innovative, biomanufacturing drug substance facility that will support both traditional stainless steel-fed batch manufacturing and next-generation single-use technologies, allowing optimal flexibility to manufacture medicines across the Amgen portfolio. The cohort kicks off in July 2025, candidates must be available for full-time employment in July 2025. The 26-month Rotational Program consists of one 10-month and two 8-month rotations in Operations.
You will rotate through various critical functions at your site, such as Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
After successful completion of the program, we expect that you will be well-prepared to succeed in future roles and take on leadership challenges in our Operations organization.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering or other relevant disciplines obtained from an accredited college or university by the time program kicks-off in July 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills, demonstrated through extra-curricular or work experience activities
- Previous Amgen or relevant industry experience in biopharma, manufacturing, or engineering environment
- Minimum GPA of 3.20 preferred
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across teams and levels of management
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach to achieving success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
- Global mentality: willingness to relocate to other Operations Sites for future career opportunities
- Willingness to work shifts including weekends

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $71,226 - $86,107. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
