CDnA - Associate Director, Marketing Investment Optimization

Lets do this. Lets change the world. The Amgen Commercial Data Science team is looking for an accomplished analytical leader with the ability to influence executive-level audiences and deliver robust data and statistical analysis of our marketing investment performance.
Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, US Headquarter site. You will work on-site a minimum of 2 days a week.
- Analyze marketing performance data, using Python, R, or similar languages with numerical and scientific libraries for statistical analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit, etc.)
- Design and analyze marketing experiments applying causal inference and hypothesis testing techniques to find opportunities for scaling or optimizing our investment allocation
- Lead all aspects of the execution of Marketing Mix and Marketing Attribution Models to measure ROI of core marketing activities
- Execute scenario planning and project outcomes of investment decisions across the portfolio
- Prepare and effectively communicate business recommendations to executives and business partners
- Collaborate with several cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, Media, Finance, etc.) to help build marketing budgets that improves brand strategical objectives

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience
OR
Masters degree and 4 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience
OR
Bachelors degree and 6 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience
OR
Associates degree and 10 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:- Strong background in leveraging query languages (SQL) to clean, transform, and prepare data using cloud computing platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
- Good understanding of statistical analysis concepts such as Causal Inference, Bayesian statistics, Regression Analysis, Hypothesis Testing etc.
- Strong planning skills for simultaneously managing multiple large and complex projects.
- Track record of interpreting and communicating analytical insights to non-technical audience using clear and concise language.
- Advanced expertise using statistical analysis libraries in languages like Python, and R.
- Expertise in pharmaceutical data sets, such as prescriber-plan data, patient-level data, transactional claims, etc.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
