Summary
Ipsen is seeking a field-basedClinical Nurse Educator (CNE), who will join our existing national team of Oncology CNEs, supporting the Northeast Oncology portfolio.
As the Northeast CNE, you will have responsibility for the delivery of Health Care Provider (HCP) education primarily focused on Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and nurse educational programs related to Oncology disease states and the on-label Oncology portfolio. You will ensure education occurs utilizing approved brand and unbranded educational materials. The CNE role is a unique opportunity to utilize clinical nursing expertise, education, and collaboration with HCPs to positively impact the well-being of patients through education. This role is responsible for education and is not a sales role and there is no direct patient care.
You will work in close collaboration with the commercial functions of Ipsen Oncology; Marketing, Training, Sales, Thought Leader Liaison, and Value & Access, and will work in a strategic, thoughtful, and coordinated approach in support of Ipsen and overall Oncology portfolio performance within the territory.
This role will cover the Northeast territory which includesME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY (part), PA (part), WV, OH (part). Coverage outside of the territory is needed at times and attendance/travel is required for Team, Regional, and National in-person Meetings.
Responsibilities / Job Expectations
Utilize data, cross-functional insights, and insightful questioning that are impactful to determine engagement plan and territory management.
Proficient Oncology knowledge and ability to quickly learn products.
Education will occur using various channels for interactions (1:1 in person, group presentations, virtual education and via phone) while utilizing approved materials.
Optimize audience/customer engagement and demonstrate strong communication skills, presentation skills, and command of content to meet the customer’s education needs.
Effective preparation, organization, and execution of Ipsen Regional and National Conferences/Congresses.
Committed to a culture of collaboration and excellence while ensuring compliant partnering with cross-functional partners.
Assist with staff training and Oncology Business Unit education needs as applicable.
Provide clinical and nursing insights to Marketing and Training team as applicable.
Ensure compliance by strictly following all Ipsen policies governing the promotion of pharmaceutical products in the US.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in nursing and RN license is required.
- Advanced Practice Provider (MSN, NP, PA, DNP) degree preferred.
- 3+ years of specialty product experience with proven success in Oncology as CNE or clinical arena preferred.
- Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience with oncology treatment processes and techniques, oncology/hematology hospital settings, clinical operation acumen and patient journey.
- Adaptable to a variety of clinical settings; academic, private office, and community.
- Competent in account/territory management.
- Strong relationship and partnership building skills.
- Ability to assess and provide appropriate education needs, effective resource utilization, and determines appropriate next steps/actions.
- Able to function independently with minimal day-to-day supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Existing relationships with Hospitals, Healthcare institutions and Key Opinion Leaders
- Project, team lead, and regional initiatives participation and meets requirements of these roles.
- Ability to travel 50%-60%, including overnight travel depending on territory/geography.
- Strong technical skills and computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and digital meeting platforms, such as MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
