Job Description

The most adaptive organisms are the ones that effectively absorb and respond to information. To help our organization evolve, we continuously collect, analyze, and distill information about our most important asset—our people—into insights that drive decisions. From pre-hire to post-termination, we leverage our vast trove of clean data about our 30,000+ workers to answer critical questions like, “Why has turnover gone up in my group?” and “What are the key drivers of employee engagement?”.

As a member of our world-class People Analytics team, the Insight Partner has the opportunity to convert global data into answers at scale. You'll contribute to high-impact, cross-functional projects that not only advance our company's mission but also challenge your abilities and grow your skills in an innovative science company. You'll get to work alongside a strong team to design approaches for efficiently connecting data, apply diverse methods to uncover hidden patterns, and share data-driven narratives with a wide variety of audiences, including leaders, HR business partners, even the public.

Why Join Our People Analytics Team?
  • Innovate with Rich Data: We have a rich trove of meticulously maintained datasets, with millions of daily, automated quality checks.
  • Thrive in Diversity: Our team members all hail from different countries and non-HR disciplines, bringing a wealth of unique perspectives that drive our success.
  • Build Influential Relationships: Engage deeply with partners and customers in HR and across functions, regions, and levels.
  • Direct C-Suite Engagement: Regular opportunities to present insights directly to C-Suite members, influencing executive decisions.
  • Lead with Impact: Every team member spearheads at least one major initiative, affecting change across the entire enterprise.
  • Pioneer with Partners: Conduct groundbreaking research in collaboration with leading universities and innovative partners like wearable tech companies and AI developers.
  • Alumni Success Stories: Our alumni have advanced to head top-tier analytics teams, lead Total Rewards for billion dollar companies, and take on CHRO roles.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Consult with HR, executive, and cross-functional stakeholders to convert business challenges into accurate analyses and crisp insights.
  • Design and automate analytics processes to deliver compelling insights at scale.
  • Integrate and analyze complex datasets using diverse methods (e.g., survival analysis, machine learning, text analysis).
  • Evaluate the impact of programs, decisions, and events on our company's talent and reputation.
  • Articulate data-driven narratives that vividly reflect key dynamics and deeply resonate with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • Integrity: We're uncompromising when it comes to doing what's right and respecting employee data.
  • Analytical mindset (e.g., fluency in metrics and statistics, visualization, survey methodology, data management, etc.). We approach problems with humble curiosity to learn, explore, and mine the data for insights. We place a premium on accurate, replicable, and understandable analyses.
  • Desire to contribute: We're a small team that has many opportunities to make significant contributions to our company's important mission. Opportunities here are not bounded by your education degree, previous experience, etc.; only by the amount of effort you're willing to put in to help our organization deliver on its mission.
  • Concise communication style, and an ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Efficiency, organization, and attention to impactful details.
  • BA or BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years People/HR analytics, business analytics, industrial/organizational psychology, consulting, or similar experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Hybrid role: on-site at least three days per week in Foster City, California.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to proactively drive your projects while working collaboratively.
  • Python, R, ThoughtSpot, AWS, Workday, and/or Tableau proficiency.
  • Machine learning or other advanced statistics (e.g., latent growth curve modeling) experience.
  • People analytics, consulting, and/or human resources experience.
