We have an opening for a National Traveling Healthcare Sales Representative who will provide back-up coverage to our Field Sales force throughout the US. Job title and level determination will be commensurate with experience. Preferred, though not required, location for easiest travel is Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. 

The National Traveling Healthcare Sales Representative is a field-based position that serves as direct link between the company and health care providers (HCPs) and clients in assigned and continually evolving geographical locations. The incumbent travels extensively throughout the US on a continual, as needed, basis providing short and long term sales coverage and support to vacant territories as determined by sales leadership. 

She/he handles all operational aspects of pharmaceutical sales and service including, but not limited to: generating sales, communication and promotion of the clinical and economic benefits of the product(s), building and maintaining successful relationships, educating health care staffs and identifying new opportunities for growth. The incumbent collaborates cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical and other internal departments and external resources on sales related issues. 

  •  Establishes, develops and maintains successful business partnerships with targeted HCPs and staffs per national travel to assigned geographical territories throughout the US, as determined by sales leadership, to meet business needs; Customizes services and support to meet client needs and requests; Increases awareness through appropriate scientific information and educational programs to medical professionals 

  •  Creates consultative, solution-oriented business partnerships with clients by meeting regularly with appropriately targeted HCPs and staff within assigned geography to understand and discuss company products and how they can meet both identified and underlying needs; Leverages business relationships and is viewed as a sales consultant to help develop solutions

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree and minimum 4 years sales experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry REQUIRED

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully and independently growing and managing a territory REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex sales and technical data and to develop strategic and actionable business plans REQUIRED

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience REQUIRED

  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to external customers REQUIRED

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively with limited notice (including overnights) to territories across the US via airplane or car REQUIRED

  • Valid US drivers license and clean driving record REQUIRED

  • Ability to influence without direct authority REQUIRED
