Job Details

We are looking for a Director Global Procurement-R&D- Inspection Readiness to be responsible to lead, support and assist in the development and implementation of Inspection Readiness tools and processes. Must demonstrate experience in participating in regulatory inspections, quality and risk management with vendors and continuous improvement activities.

A typical day might include:
  • Accountable for leading, defining, and implementing inspection readiness activities to serve global and regional business needs.

  • Collaborate with team members, vendors, Global development vendor relationship managers and Quality to align on quality assurance/controls and financial risks.

  • Contribute, improve and complete inspection readiness process, contract templates and serve as the primary point of contact for inspection readiness.

  • Facilitate team to assess quality concerns, formulate corrective and preventative actions, share lessons learned from audits and inspections.

  • Set strategic and operational objectives for Global Procurement R&D inspection activities for internal and regulatory audits.

  • Identify high impact continuous improvement opportunities and provide leadership for the development and implementation of innovative R&D category business practices and improved processes.

  • Collaborate on risk management efforts by identifying and mitigating non-compliance risks across clinical trial vendors and working alongside quality assurance for regular audits and evaluations

  • Act as an R&D integration lead for acquisitions to create an integration strategy and implement the plan.

  • Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the Global Clinical Category strategies to serve global and regional business needs as assigned

  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Collaborate on risk management efforts by identifying and mitigating non-compliance risks across clinical trial vendors and working alongside quality assurance for regular audits and evaluations

  • May either directly or through a matrix structure, manage team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management tasks (if applicable.)

  • Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team.

This role may be for you if you have:
  • Experience successfully leading global categories teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams through regulatory inspections and implementing changes to improve future inspection outcomes.

  • Comprehensive understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and international regulatory frameworks, with proven track record of applying these standards in clinical research and contracting

  • Demonstrated success leading and directing the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.

  • Experience leading manager level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports.

  • Ability to use standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus progressive experience in procurement, preferably including substantial experience in Pharma/BioPharma. A qualified candidate has a working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other). This position requires being onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.

Salary Range (annually)

$176,900.00 - $294,800.00
