BioSpace has an exciting opportunity for sales leader to join our team. We are looking for a results-driven individual that is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for leading the new business strategy along with supporting and enhancing our existing processes to drive revenue growth. As a player-coach, you will also have the opportunity to work directly with clients and to lead by example. You will be responsible for developing relationships and strategies with key decision makers for new business expansion.

Employees located in the Des Moines, Iowa area work a hybrid schedule: In-office Monday – Wednesday, and work-from-home option Thursday – Friday.

  In this position you will:

  • Build out the new business function and lead a growing, high-performance team
  • Assist in development and execution of strategic plans to achieve sales targets within schedule
  • Track, analyze, and present sales team statistics based on key quantitative metrics
  • Develop and enhance plans, processes, and best practices to support the day-to-day activities of the team
  • Develop an intimate understanding of our business, products, services and customers to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and to lead forward-thinking initiatives and new sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing and other internal teams to maximize client ROI
  • Creatively and efficiently resolve issues and navigate challenging situations
  • Use data and analytics to provide valuable insights to BioSpace clients and internal stakeholders
  • Secure new and deepen and broaden existing client relationships Initiate and maintain a proactive schedule of touch-points with BioSpace clients
  • Generate consistent cross-selling and new product opportunities within existing accounts
  • Deliver a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach to maximize results
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive internal and external relationships
  • Utilize CRM tools/resources available to efficiently and effectively manage you and your team’s business
  • Be a company ambassador within accounts and channel partners, maximizing our brand recognition and mindshare

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales, marketing or strategic client-facing experience
  • 2+ years of formal leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree business, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Desire and demonstrated success with business development, relationship management, marketing strategy & execution
  • Ability to develop relationships with high level executives and decision makers
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organization skills
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate within a team
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn to leverage new tools and apply new processes
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and CRMs (Salesforce)
