2023 Communications Co-Op

The Role:
Moderna is seeking a co-op to support Modernas brand and communications team. This individual will work with the Executive Director, Communications and the Executive Director, Digital Communications on the Corporate Affairs team to assist with digital, social and internal communications.

Our program starts on July 17, 2023, and ends on Dec 15, 2023. All applicants must be available to work full-time for the entire duration of the program and must be willing to relocate to Cambridge, MA.

Heres What Youll Do:

• Help drive employee engagement through internal communications strategies and tactics related to Modernas business, company culture and CSR activities

• Help plan and execute Modernas digital communications strategy, including corporate social media channels

• Write and edit content for the company's intranet, digital signage, email, and social channels

• Maintain editorial calendars, communication plans and creative development

• Research trends, evaluate alternative solutions, document outcomes and metrics

• Assist with measurement and analytics for digital channels

• Assist with other communications initiatives, as required

Heres What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Currently enrolled Junior or Senior studying toward a degree in Marketing, Journalism and other communications-related majors

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Indefinite right to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• A high level of initiative, a strong work ethic, creativity and the ability to balance multiple concurrent projects

• Strong interpersonal skills

• A collaborative, solution-oriented and problem-solving approach to challenges as well as being open-minded to new ideas and approaches

• Previous co-op or intern experience preferred

• Must be highly curious, self-motivated, able to work independently, and energized by working in an area of emerging science, medicine and technology
